The group meet on the 2nd
Thursday of each month.
In January of each year, we meet to discuss the gardens we
would like to visit in the coming year. We visit gardens,
which are usually advertised in the Sussex National Garden
Scheme booklet. We meet at about 10.30am and our hosts
usually talk to us about their garden and provide tea/coffee
and cake.
The average charge is £5 for visiting the garden and £5 for
refreshments, most of which goes to the NGS charity. Members
decide in advance if they want to come as most of the
gardens require a minimum number of visitors. We usually car
share.
We come away from these visits with ideas on how to improve
our own gardens or pleased that we have seen some of the
plants and flowers that we have in our gardens already.
In the Autumn/ Winter months, we visit garden centres, have
a talk, and have a Christmas get together.
